Steve Hewitt has been working with non-profit organizations and supporting communities for more than 25 years. He spent his first professional decade as a golf pro in California–not the ones on TV, but teaching and running golf courses. He was honored by the California State Senate and California State Representatives for his work with junior golf programs.

In 2000, he moved to Missouri, discovered the YMCA and met his wife, Jennifer. Steve spent almost 13 years with the Y movement, relocating to Arizona in 2008 to open the Maryvale YMCA and then run the Chandler/Gilbert Family YMCA. In 2012, Steve went to work for Chandler Unified School District and ran two of the larger departments with the school district.

Steve has served on several boards over the past 20 years, including AZCEND, ICAN, Rotary, Kiwanis and For Our Town. After spending the last 3 and half years as the Operations Director for AZCEND, he has been named the Interim CEO for AZCEND. He and Jen live in Chandler with their two Arizona-born children: Sam, almost 14, and Addi, 12 years old, both attending Hamilton High School.
