Rev. Sarah Oglesby-Dunegan is the Senior Minister at Valley Unitarian Universalist Congregation in Chandler where she has served since July 2022.  She has an MDIV from Iliff School of Theology (2014) and an MPA from University of North Texas (2003) where she also earned a Bachelor of Arts in Social Science. 

She began her professional career at El Centro College in Dallas, where she directed the TRiO Student Support Services program and served in various student development leadership capacities.  She also served as Coordinator of First Year Experience programs at Community College of Denver and has taught several different courses in the community college setting as well. 

Sarah moved to the Phoenix metro area with her husband, who serves as a teacher in the Kyrene district, her retired mom, and her youngest child who is in high school.  Her daughter serves in the Peace Corps in Costa Rica. The whole family loves hiking, Mercury basketball, and great tacos! 

Valley Unitarian Universalist Congregation partners with Azcend for the IHELP program which encouraged Rev. Sarah to serve on the board where she can support the important work of helping our neighbors when they need it most while building and sustaining a healthy, interdependent community for all ages.
