AZCEND opens nominations for the Tracey Washington Spirit Award

AZCEND is proud to once again honor the legacy of Tracey Washington through the Tracey Washington Spirit Award, presented at our annual Spirit of AZCEND Gala.

Tracey served as AZCEND’s Food Bank Manager for 14 years, showing up each day with deep care for the people he served. He believed in meeting people with dignity, listening without judgment and creating a space where everyone felt seen and respected. His impact continues to shape how we serve our community today.

This award was created in his honor to recognize individuals who carry that same spirit forward.

We are seeking nominees who reflect AZCEND’s core values: integrity, compassion, dignity, inclusivity and hope. A nominee is one who gives their time and energy to others, leads with empathy and shows up as a positive and consistent presence in the community.

As you consider who to nominate, think about individuals whose actions make a meaningful difference. Nominees will be considered based on their impact, their commitment to service and the way they uplift others with dignity and care.

Spirit of AZCEND Gala & Casino Night

The Spirit of AZCEND Gala with Casino Night returns on Friday, October 23, 2026, at the Marriott, 1600 S. Price Road in Chandler.

This special evening brings our community together to celebrate what is possible when neighbors help neighbors. Guests will enjoy dinner, casino tables and a program highlighting the real impact of AZCEND’s work across the community.

Because of this shared commitment, individuals and families in need have access to food, safe shelter and support for a brighter future.
