AZCEND Celebrates the 2024 Subaru Share the Love Events
In celebration of the 2024 Subaru Share the Love® Event, AZCEND is reaching volunteers serving in the Chandler Food Bank and the Home Delivered Meals program with an opportunity to alleviate hunger among seniors.
“Our volunteers have the biggest hearts and make a real difference in our community,” stated AZCEND’s CEO, Trinity Donovan. Last year, more than 1,100 volunteers devoted over 35,000 hours of time and effort bringing help and hope to neighbors who are struggling with hunger, poverty and homelessness. “It’s a privilege to see the lives that are changed through the powerful intervention of food, safety and shelter,” Donovan added.
As part of a national partnership with Meals on Wheels America, Subaru of America, Inc. and its retailers will donate a minimum of $300 to a charity, like Meals on Wheels, for every new vehicle leased or sold from November 21, 2024, to January 2, 2025. Since the Subaru Share the Love Event began in 2008, Subaru and its participating retailers have donated more than 4.6 million meals and helped provide friendly visits to seniors being served by local Meals on Wheels programs across the country. For more information, visit www.mealsonwheelsamerica.org/sharethelove.
Funds received will benefit participants in AZCEND’s Home Delivered Meals program as well as its Senior Centers that offer meals, activities and friendship effectively promoting independence while helping seniors combat loneliness and isolation.

About AZCEND
The mission of AZCEND is to “nourish minds and bodies so that neighbors in need experience a brighter future.” The organization provides more than 73,000 meals each month and strives to relieve suffering while helping those in need improve their quality of life.
“Beyond food, we help people discover what is possible so that they experience a brighter future than they may have imagined,” added Donovan. The food bank is oftentimes a gateway to additional services at AZCEND.
While food boxes, home-delivered meals and lunch are provided every weekday, AZCEND also offers a lifeline of essential programs and services. Safe, emergency lodging giving those experiencing homelessness the stability they need to get back on their feet. Assistance with rent and utilities keeps families together in their homes. AZCEND’s early childhood literacy programs help little ones succeed in Kindergarten and in life. Parenting classes equip adults to support their children. Activities for Seniors combat loneliness and isolation.
AZCEND has been providing help and hope to neighbors in need since 1966. This powerful intervention of food and shelter along with learning, growth and development is helping end the cycle of poverty. Learn more about AZCEND
