Empty Bowls events to benefit hungry neighbors

Chandler Gilbert Community College will stimulate awareness of hunger by hosting its 11th annual Empty Bowls event on Wednesday, October 16, 2024.
Participants can select a one-of-a-kind handcrafted ceramic bowl and enjoy a simple meal of bread, soup and water in exchange for a $15 donation. This meal symbolically represents the caloric intake that sustains many people around the world for an entire day.
Proceeds will directly benefit our community’s most vulnerable people who are struggling with hunger, poverty and homelessness. A $15 donation covers the cost of 31 meals distributed through the food bank at AZCEND which provides more than 800,000 meals every year to hungry neighbors.
Silent auctions feature pieces created by advanced students in CGCC ceramics program.
