Program Modifications
There have been some modifications to some programming, AZCEND continues to provide the services needed to help equip vulnerable people in our community with emergency and basic needs. Here are those updates:
Chandler and Gilbert Senior Centers – We are doing drive up meals for those who would normally come to the center and or curb service with prior notice. We continue to provide Home Delivered Meals through Meals on Wheels for homebound seniors. No current activities.

CAP/Case Management – We are doing phone meetings and giving rent/mortgage assistance appointments the option to fax their documents in. Utility assistance can be accomplished with limited contact. Home visits for case management are now being conducted over the phone.
FRC – Parent and child activities (Child Watch, Giggles Squiggles and Squirms, parenting classes) are being temporarily suspended. Navigation is being conducted over the phone and emergency diapers will be provided as a drive up service (people receive those with navigation).
I-HELP – We are continuing shelter and meals and temporarily moving I-HELP to one site. Meal preparers are dropping off the meal to limiting contact by having I-HELP guests serve the meal instead.
VITA Tax Site – Our VITA Site has been clossed until further notice.
Walk in the Park to End Poverty – Our annual walk is our second largest fundraiser. It is being moved to a virtual walk – azcend.org/walk are even more critical at this time.
