Even though 27% of Arizona children spent Christmas in poverty, through Operation Santa, donors made their Christmas brighter.
Imagine the disappointment on a child’s face when she wakes up on Christmas morning and realizes that, for reasons she doesn’t understand, Santa just didn’t bring her the presents other children receive. No child chooses to be born in poverty, and no child’s Christmas should be defined by poverty.
That’s why, every Christmas, hundreds of caring persons in the Southeast Valley donate new toys and clothing items to CCCC’s Operation Santa. They give because they refuse to allow a child in our area to go without on Christmas. They give knowing that the toys and clothing they donate will make a child’s expression turn from disappointment to joy on Christmas morning.
This past Christmas, nearly 1,000 children received Christmas gifts through Operation Santa. Parents made wishlists for their children, and 60 volunteers filled bags with toys and clothing that were distributed to each family at a special event, empowering families to celebrate Christmas in their own way.
Nothing compares to the joy on a child’s face on Christmas morning, and you make that joy possible. Than you for donating to Operation Santa.
