AZCEND the managing partner of the Gilbert Senior Center and the Town of Gilbert are concerned about what the outbreak of the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) could mean for the vulnerable seniors we serve. We are closely monitoring information and resources being shared by Center for Disease Control (CDC) and have prevention and response plans in place. We are following health officials’ recommended steps to protect against the coronavirus.
Out of an abundance of caution beginning Monday, March 16th we are suspending all activities, classes and congregate meals at the Gilbert Senior Center until April 10th or otherwise noted.
Gilbert’s senior meal service will move to a curbside pick-up service. Meals will be available for pick from 11:30 am-12:30 pm Monday-Friday. You must call (480) 503-6059 and/or (480) 503-6061 to make a reservation. Please leave a message if no one is available to accept your call directly.
We will update this message on AZCEND (www.azcend.org) and the Town of Gilbert (www.gilbertaz.gov) websites as needed to keep you informed when we will resume regular services at the senior center. For further questions please contact AZCEND at 480-782-2721 or Town of Gilbert at 480-503-6000
We appreciate your understanding.
